Educational Services January 6th - PE Teachers During the PDAC feedback last spring, it was shared that there was an interest in PE specific professional development. We are excited to bring this to you on January 6th. Please join everyone in the gym for the welcome, and then you will be having a training just for PE teachers in the Eich multi for the remainder of the morning (during the choice session time). In this book Liljedahl presents 14 teaching practices that are meant to enhance learning by increasing student engagement, collaboration, and discourse. A Message from the Deputy Superintendent Thank you for your valuable feedback regarding the behavior-focused session during our October 31st Professional Development Day. Educational Services followed the PDAC plan, aiming to provide opportunities for educators to learn and collaborate on effective behavior strategies. When planning PD, we consult with other districts and spend considerable time planning with external presenters to ensure the content meets our expectations. However, we recognize that the behavior sessions, at Eich and Stoneridge, did not meet the high standards we strive for, and many educators left without new strategies or actionable insights. While the content was important, the presentation did not fully engage participants or address the practical strategies and collaboration opportunities that were expected.
