The Importance of Wait Time
In our Number Talks trainings across our grade levels one essential component is using proper wait time. Here is a great article found by one of our teachers, Ann Tavernetti, that digs deeper into the practice of wait time, and what it’s valuable beyond math time, any time when helping your learners process information/ideas. When they talk about “external” and “Internal” thinkers, connect this to what we know about introverts and extroverts!
