Middle School Grading Changes
Over the past two years, a committee of elementary and middle school teachers, site admin, and District admin have worked together to research, recommend, and help implement and train teachers in best practices when it comes to assessment, feedback, and grading for our middle school students. Elementary teachers, if you would like more information regarding these changes please see the information page below, or watch the video for further explanation of the middle school grading practices that will begin in August 2019. Students and parents will be notified of these changes on May 20th. If you have any questions please let Brandon Blom know.

District’s Password Management and Recovery Tool
A reminder if you received the message below within the last two weeks to please enroll in the Password Management system.
We have noticed that you haven’t enrolled into the District’s Password Management and Recovery Tool. While this tool will currently only allow you to enroll, additional features will be released in the coming weeks. Allowing you to reset your password, recover your username or password along with other things we are working on.
Please go to http://reset.rcsdk8.org and enroll today!! If you have any questions, please open a support ticket.

Digital Literacy Feedback
In August 2018 the RCSD Digital Literacy Team rolled out lessons for Digital Citizenship and student expectations for Digitial Literacy.  Our team would appreciate you taking time to fill out the feedback form below to help us be more effective for students and teachers as we continue to help students be safe and responsible with digital tools, as well as help them learn the skills and tools necessary to be effective with technology.

EduTyping during the summer
Students currently in grades 1-4 will have access to EduTyping during the summer.  The District will email parents of students in 1st-4th grade before the end of the school year.   Please feel free to email your class as well if you would like to remind your parents of this tool.

Google Team Drive Being Renamed Shared Drive
Google is updating their Team Drive to now be called Shared Drive sometime soon.  We do not expect to be any functionality differences but if you experience any issues please submit a SchoolDude ticket.

Report Card Reminder
A reminder that the PLC time for report card prep is May 20th.  A reminder that middle school grades will be locked at 11:59pm on May 28th.  Elementary teachers, please make sure printed out copies go home by end of the school day on Thursday, May 30th.
