Tri 1 Grade Reminders
A reminder you can check the blog post from 10/1 for more details. A few important highlights:
Teachers will need to have the report cards completed by the end of the day on October 27th to give clerical time to get the reports ready to send home.
If you need help or have any questions you can ask your LITE or Principal, or come to the optional PD on 10/12, 10/19, 10/26.
We are still working on the report card guides that will go home to parents in both English and Spanish and will have that information next week as well as more information about how report cards for elementary will go home to parents. Middle School will be emailing their report cards.
You are able to mass grade a rubric assessment (which is how elementary is scoring)

Otus
Assessments 1.0
If you have given an assessment (Rubric, Simple, or Advanced) in Otus you can easily see a breakdown of how students did on each question or rubric descriptor. You can also sort the data to or click on the charts to see the students that are in those categories.
Using Recognitions on the Otus App as a Teacher
The Otus app does not have a lot of functionality for teachers, but it can be helpful if you are using it for recognition. You can also mass assign Missing Work recognitions and include one note that will go to all students with that recognition. Please see the short video below from Travis at Chilton for a visual of how to do that.

A reminder that we put all the videos and guides on the RCSD Learning Site in order to keep information in one place if you ever need it.
Student Placement after November 4th
Student assignments for their new class, for Champions and on-site, will come out on October 19th for elementary and October 23rd for middle school. Please do not announce placements or changes before that date, as we are still settling assignments and do not want to create issues around incorrect information being shared. If you have any questions please ask your principal.
