Summer Enrichment Resources
We know that many families would like to continue with a learning plan for students this summer. Below are links to a sample schedule with learning resources, and enrichment ideas that can be done online or without a computer. This information will be sent to parents in the District weekly communication, and in a separate email to families next week.

Ed Tech Resources for Next Year
We wanted to give you an update regarding Ed Tech Resources for next year.
We wanted to give you an update regarding Ed Tech Resources for next year.
Otus- Continuing for all RCSD students. All Lessons and Assessments that you built are in draft and do not go anywhere and can be used again next year. A reminder please do not delete classes, they will automatically archive in the beginning of July. We will have information at the start of next school year of any updates over summer and when you will be able to view your new classes. We are working with Otus to make sure parents and students do not see new classes before we are ready to release schedules.
Edutyping- Edutyping will be available for all students in grades 1-6 next year.
Screencastify Edit and Record- Available to all RCSD students and staff.
Classwize Screen Monitoring Tool- This is a new product to RCSD. It will be available for all teachers to use and usage is optional and up to the teacher. Feedback from staff is that a tool like this would be helpful to monitor what students are working on in their classroom, send students to specific websites, pause the internet, or block certain students from specific sites.
RCSD teachers piloted Classwize this spring and it works directly with our current content filter. We will have more details about training options when teachers are back in August. The website below has more details including a 3-minute video that explains more.

Surveillance Testing During the Summer
Weekly surveillance testing for asymptomatic staff will continue throughout the summer. Testing hours will be 12:00 - 4:00 pm on Wednesdays in the Warehouse Conference Room located at 1040 Main Street. Testing will begin on June 2 and run through July 28, 2021.
