K-8 Building a Math Community
The first two weeks of school are a great opportunity for teachers to not only build relationships with students but to set the tone for the classroom expectations. Here you will find some ideas and ways to begin building the math community in your classroom.

K-2 Grade Teachers: Writing
K-2 teachers will be provided a bundle of white computer paper to support the Lucy Calkins, Units of Study writing program. Principals will be notified when the paper has arrived.

Middle School Grading Reminders for Students
If you would like to go over grading reminders with your middle school students you can reference the slides below. This is optional and not required. Please work with your site admin team if your site is planning to do this schoolwide that way you can decide which grade level or period you are going over this with students.

Classwize Update
Teacher access will be limited to 7am-5pm, Monday through Friday. As a reminder, if you are having any issues with Classwize please submit a SchoolDude ticket and select Classwize as the Issue type.

You can add a profile picture by clicking on your profile and adding a photo. Additional instructions below.

Technology Updates

iPad Enrollment Update
In the upcoming weeks, the Information Systems Technician team will be at sites enrolling iPads into site Apple School Manager (ASM) accounts and Filewave (MDM) to enable future App purchases without two-factor authentication. The enrollment process requires the iPad factory reset, please download or transfer any personal items (i.e. photos, videos, notes, etc.) from the iPad prior to our site visit. Thank you!

Technology Services Teacher End-of-Year Checkout - Technology As we near the end of the school year, we would like to share some guidance regarding the end-of-year checkout process for teachers' technology items. Please take a look at the below steps to ensure a smooth distribution and collection of items. The Information Systems Technician team will be distributing Ziploc bags to each site no later than June 6th based on certificated rosters. Principals and site clerical should then work internally to distribute the bags to each teacher. Ziploc Bag Distribution Each teacher will be provided one Ziploc bag for their current room. Teachers are required to place their iPad, Apple TV, charging bricks, charging cables, and remotes (both Apple TV and TV) inside the Ziploc bag. Each Ziploc bag should be clearly labeled with their respective current Room #. EDUCATIONAL SERVICES Elementary Report Card Information Report Card Prep is February 21, 2024. Report cards must be sent home by Friday, March 1st. Please work with your principal on if report cards will be emailed or printed and by when. Teachers have the ability to print their own report card in PTP. We will have an optional Zoom training on February 21 from 2:00pm-2:30pm for any elementary teacher that needs reminders on how to enter grades or comments in PowerSchool. Here is the Zoom link for the training. If grades are entered and you want to see what they look like, everything is live so you can create a PDF anytime between now and March 1st.
