General Update
Volunteer Vaccination/Testing Requirements
RCSD will be sending out information this week informing our parents and volunteers about the new vaccination/testing requirements from the state starting on October 15, 2021. The requirements are aligned with those required of current staff and our substitutes in which individuals will need to either provide verification of their COVID-19 vaccination status or be tested and show a negative test result within 6-days of each time they are volunteering at a school. School sites and the district will be sending out the following Volunteer Vaccination/Testing Requirement letter by the end of this week.
The Employee Wellness program offered by our district is available to support all employees. As such we want to make sure what is being offered makes sense and is meeting the needs of those utilizing it. Please take a moment to provide your feedback on past program offerings and which programs were beneficial. This will assist us in determining future programming.

Classwize Tools and Updates
If you are using Classwize and want to learn more about additional tools and updates, please see the short videos below:
Classwize- Block and Allow Websites
Classwize- Focus Tool - This tool has been updated so that even if a student closes their browser and they open a new one and do not go to the site that is Focused it will block the site.
Classwize- Two-way Chat - This is a new feature that allows students to chat back and forth with their teacher. Teachers can enable this feature for the times when they want to utilize this tool, and then disable it if they do not want students to be able to chat with them. Students cannot chat with each other.
Please note that the first time a student uses two-way chat they might need to sign in with Google:
K/1 Foundational Skills
Please enter foundational skills data for Trimester 1 in Otus by November 9, 2021. Please remember to double-check with your site to see when report cards will be run to ensure that all data will be entered in Otus with enough time to be included in the trimester one report cards. For more information on assessments, rubrics, and scoring please see the attached document.
