Contact: Megan Spears - Classwize Removal of Duplicate Classes and Resetting of Rules
Classwize is currently showing duplicates for all classes. The only way to remove this is to remove classes and do a new sync. When this happens any rules you have set up will be removed. You will need to re-add the rules to any classes. This update will happen on Monday, February 28.
Contact: Brandon Blom - Dropped Students Showing in Otus
Students disenrolled at the end of the Trimester will still show in Otus until Monday, February 28. This allows teachers to enter grades and run report cards for those students even though they are no longer in our system.
Contact: Brandon Blom - Middle School Only- Tri 2 Wheel Classes Showing in Otus, DO NOT ARCHIVE
Trimester 2 Wheel Classes are showing in Otus until Tuesday, March 1 and then they will automatically archive. Please do not archive before then as classes need to be active for it to pull those classes onto the report card. The good news is that moving forward we can now share previous Trimester Wheel Classes in Otus without having them show in PowerSchool (and therefore not having to worry about attendance or other issues for that class). This will allow teachers to grade after the Trimester in those classes if necessary.
Contact: Brandon Blom - Classes in Otus will be renamed automatically for everyone starting March 7
Starting Monday, March 7, all classes in Otus will have the same name format. It is important for the year to be on the class when looking for historical information.
In elementary, your “homeroom” class said Grade 1. This format made these classes go last on the report card, and this is where attendance is kept. Having all classes named the same way will allow us to give consistent communication of where parents can find information. This change will overwrite any current class names, even if you renamed the class.
For middle school, the period will go first so it will go in order on the report card. All Wheel Classes will have the Trimester added.
For elementary PE and music, the homeroom teacher name is added so you will not have to do that at the beginning of the year.
Below are samples of what the class names will look like:
