Ed Services Update
- Special Education Extended School Year Program - Deadline Extended for Teachers and Instructional Assistants
Just a reminder we are seeking teachers and instructional assistants who have experience and are interested in working with students with special needs during the summer. The deadline for applicants has been extended and we urge all interested staff to apply. The contracted period is 20 days from June 6 to July 1 (with June 2 & June 3 as teacher preparation days) from 7:45 am to 12:15 pm each day. The program will take place at Stoneridge Elementary. - Certificated Special Education ESY application
- For certificated staff only the pay is $35/hour.
- Classified Instructional Assistants ESY application
- Please note that the extended deadline for Instructional Assistants only is April 22. Emily Coleman will be contacting applicants who have already submitted applications.
- For classified staff only the salary grade will be determined upon the level of skill the classroom demands (IA - Level I or IA Level II).
- Elementary Science Update: Mystery Science
After much consideration and feedback, we will be purchasing the supplemental curriculum Mystery Science for the 2022-23 school year. Mystery Science will not only help support our current Discovery Education (DE) implementation, but it will also allow teachers the flexibility to provide more opportunities for science learning.
Please note, that the Discovery Education hands-on kit materials need to be utilized with DE activities specifically. Future material replenishments will be based on activities used within the Discovery Education curriculum.
Since we will be purchasing Mystery Science for the 2022-23 school year, no additional Discovery Education print (student workbooks or TEs) resources will be purchased. Keep in mind that both the TE and all student workbook pages are printable from the platform. Please work with your site administrator if you would like to discuss purchasing student workbooks for your grade level.
Mystery Science will be housed within your Discovery Education platform and more information will come at the beginning of the 2022 school year. Until then, you can use this link to use the full Mystery Science curriculum for the remainder of the school year.

As we near the end of the school year, we are seeking feedback from teachers who have had the opportunity to use the Discovery Education (DE) science kits this school year. This form needs to be filled out if you need consumables replenished in your kits.
This feedback will be used to help support the choosing of consumable materials each grade level may need to be replaced. Please fill it out by Friday, April 8. Thank you for your time.
Discovery Education Science Kit Replenishment Feedback
Contact: Megan Spears - EL/ELD Information: RFEP Monitoring Forms
Regular monitoring of students who have been reclassified from English Learner (EL) status to Fluent English Proficient (RFEP) is one way to support the continued language growth of our students. Official documentation of this monitoring is a state requirement and must be completed, twice per year, for any students who have been reclassified within the last four (4) years.
This year, all RFEP monitoring documentation will be completed in our Ellevation platform. Teachers with students who have been reclassified within the last four (4) years will receive an email from Ellevation on 4/19/22 prompting the completion of the second documentation for the year. If you receive an email from Ellevation, please log-in to Ellevation through Clever to complete the forms. If you have any questions, please watch this 3-minute video on completing monitoring forms or contact your EL Site Leader. Thank you for your time and careful attention to this process.
