One more week! You have got this!!!

Reminder: Secure Access with 2-Step Verification
One of RCSD’s top priorities is to protect the data of our staff members, students, parents/guardians, and our vendors and community partners. To further secure our organization and our collective data, Technology Services has built a strategy to implement 2-Step Verification, also known as two-factor authentication (2FA) or multi-factor authentication (MFA).

In compliance with the District’s cyber and ransomware insurance coverage, all RCSD employees will be required to enable 2-Step verification on or before May 27, 2022.

Please click the following link: https://www.rcsdk8.org/secureaccess for additional information, as well as instructional videos to enable 2-Step Verification.

Elementary Assessment, Feedback, and Grading Info
At the March District PD day, there was information that teachers would receive the parent communication regarding the updates to Elementary grading in May. Our committee has been working hard looking at feedback from that PD day to continue to make adjustments. For example, we updated the proficiency scale description, have updated the Learning Behavior descriptions for the report card, and have been working on progress reports.

We also are meeting with a separate K/1 committee after school is out. Because our team is still working on these items, we will get teachers all the information at one time, before the start of school. This information will include parent communication regarding changes (for example the change in language from Limited, Basic and Target to Beginning, Approaching, Proficient, new Learning Behaviors, etc.), updated progress reports, and grade-level guides in the first blog of the year (a week before school starts)
