THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO!!

In honor of employee recognition week, we would like to take the opportunity to thank each and every one of our employees at Roseville City School District. Each employee contributes to the overall success of our students and that is invaluable. We know that the last few years have been trying at best and that even without a pandemic the work that you do to serve our students is as challenging as it is rewarding. We are a district with an amazing reputation and that is because of the employees that come to work each day with the sole goal of ensuring our students are safe, well-fed, learn in a clean environment, and are supported with whatever needs they bring. There are not enough words or enough thanks to fully express the gratitude that we have for our employees. Please know that you are all appreciated and we are honored to work beside you.

Ed Services Update

  • Teacher Check Out
Below is the end-of-year check-out list. Please reach out to your principal with any questions.
  • Sora Reading App in Clever
Sora is a great way to encourage reading and increase access to books over the summer! If you have not done so already, please consider introducing your students to Sora before the summer break. Students can borrow, renew, or place books on hold and the digital titles automatically return at the end of the lending period with no late fees. Students and teachers can use their RCSD Gmail accounts to log into Sora through Clever or via our unique RCSD Sora Link.

Important Note: Students can increase the number of age-appropriate titles that are available by adding the Roseville Public Libraries to their Sora accounts. Students can do this by following these steps:
    • 1. Select the dropdown next to “Roseville City School District”
    • 2. Select “Add Library”
    • 3. Search “NorthNet Library System”
    • 4. Select “This is My Library”

Elementary Tri 3 Clarification
Comments: Comments will show from all 3 Trimesters.
Grades: Grades will show for the most recent score given. If you score all domains on the rubric, all of the scores entered on the rubric will show. If you have any score for that domain at some point in the year, but don’t enter the grade on the rubric, it will pull the last grade entered for that domain at any time in the year.

Unique Situations (example new student to your class 3rd Trimester):
In the last blog, it said, “All Domains must have a score, no matter when they are taught in the year. The 3rd Trimester shows where a student ended the year in their understanding of standards within that domain.” This should be true for almost all students. However, if you had a student come in the middle of this trimester, you only need to score the domains you have summative scores for. If you have questions about students that have unique situations, please do not hesitate to reach out to your site’s person (listed above) and we can help.
