Wellness Information - Walking for Mental Health
We are all aware of the health benefits of walking. Did you know that there are mental health benefits associated with walking as well?  There will be Webinar on November 15, 2022, 5:00-6:00pm PST to explain the benefits of walking for mental health and provide you with ideas of how to experience these benefits.  Click on this LINK for the flyer and registration information.

K/1 Information

K/1 Lexia Information Night

On Monday we had a Lexia Information Night and had a great turnout of K/1 families. Families were provided with an overview of the Lexia student experience as well as resources to support student learning at home. Unfortunately, our Zoom session on Monday was not recorded, but families will receive a follow-up email this week with more information and additional resources. This email is linked below, RCSD Lexia Parent Communication, for your reference. 

As conferences approach, please be aware that you may be asked about Clever login information and about student progress in Lexia. Thank you for providing this information to families who would like to support their child at home. 

Students can access Lexia at home by logging into Clever. Please provide teacher guidance and recommended time for students to be on Lexia at home.

K/1 ESGI Student Detail Report in Cumulative Files

A copy of the Student Detail Report will be placed in each student’s cumulative file at the end of the year along with the final report card. You will not need to print or add a copy to the cumulative file until the end of the year.

K/1 ESGI Assessments

All math and reading foundational skills assessments for the remainder of the year are now in ESGI. Assessments are color coded. BOY/trimester 1 assessments are purple, trimester 2 assessments are green, and trimester 3 assessments are orange.

You will find year long assessments (fluency, oral counting,etc) in the purple section. 

Please refer to your Foundational Skills Assessment guides below for when to administer each assessment.

Technology Services Teacher End-of-Year Checkout - Technology As we near the end of the school year, we would like to share some guidance regarding the end-of-year checkout process for teachers' technology items. Please take a look at the below steps to ensure a smooth distribution and collection of items. The Information Systems Technician team will be distributing Ziploc bags to each site no later than June 6th based on certificated rosters. Principals and site clerical should then work internally to distribute the bags to each teacher. Ziploc Bag Distribution Each teacher will be provided one Ziploc bag for their current room. Teachers are required to place their iPad, Apple TV, charging bricks, charging cables, and remotes (both Apple TV and TV) inside the Ziploc bag. Each Ziploc bag should be clearly labeled with their respective current Room #. EDUCATIONAL SERVICES Elementary Report Card Information Report Card Prep is February 21, 2024. Report cards must be sent home by Friday, March 1st. Please work with your principal on if report cards will be emailed or printed and by when. Teachers have the ability to print their own report card in PTP. We will have an optional Zoom training on February 21 from 2:00pm-2:30pm for any elementary teacher that needs reminders on how to enter grades or comments in PowerSchool.
