Otus Feedback Form

We currently use Otus as our learning management system (lessons, make a copy of a Google doc for each student, have students complete assignments) as well as for grading and report cards. We know Otus has met some of our needs while falling short in other areas. There have been some improvements, while other feedback has been given and improvements have not been made.

We want to gather feedback to decide the next steps for Otus after this school year. This feedback will also help us determine if our elementary and middle schools need different products. There is also a possibility we could use Otus for learning management but switch to PowerSchool (or another program) for grades and report cards. The feedback below will help drive the next steps.

As a district, we are committed to Standards-Based grading for both elementary and middle school.  This feedback form is specific to Otus and possibly looking at different platforms in regards to grading and learning management systems starting in the 23/24 school year.

Thank you for taking the time to fill this out. The form will close end of the day on December 1st. The District will communicate the next steps after reviewing the feedback.

Otus Gradebook Update for Students and Parents

Otus is currently working on a few different updates for the gradebook over the next two months.  The first update is below.  Once additional updates are complete we will create an updated video and guide and send to all middle school parents.

Retain Filter Selections While Navigating

In the Gradebook, retain the user’s selected Grading Scale, Mastery Setting, & Grading Period filters while navigating the platform, so any time they return to the Gradebook their selections are as expected.

Note:

-The filter resets on user logout.

-If the user selects a class that does not have the Grading Scale, Mastery Setting, and/or Grading Period configured for it, the filter resets that particular selection using our default rules.
