Students Removed from Classes and Wheel Classes in Otus
Students will stay on your roster for 10 days after they are removed. That gives teachers access to their classes and students in order to enter grades. This will not impact PowerSchool or taking attendance.
New classes will show 2 days before the Trimester starts.

Technology
Zoom Student Accounts
With our successful transition to full-time in-person instruction, Technology Services is seeing a spike in student-created Zoom meetings after-hours. To prevent students from creating Zoom meetings after-hours, we will be deactivating all student Zoom accounts on Friday, November 4th.
RVA Students will continue to have access.
Please feel free to submit a Zendesk support request if you have any questions. Thank you.

K/1 Information
K/1 Rubrics in Otus
As a reminder, you will no longer need to enter foundational skills data into the “K/1 Foundational Skills” rubrics in Otus. These rubrics are now “retired” in Otus. All of the foundational skills data will be entered in ESGI. Please continue to use the report card rubrics in Otus to enter in an overall score for Reading Foundational Skills on the ELA report card rubric.

K/1 ESGI Student Detail Report
Please make sure to provide the ESGI Student Detail Report to families at conferences. The Student Detail Report will also be sent home with trimester 2 and 3 report cards so this is a great opportunity to review the reports with families. To see which assessments to include in the report, please refer to the week of November 14th-18th on the assessment calendars linked below. We understand that the fluency assessment may not provide clear data (we are working on solutions); therefore, please feel free to not include fluency in the ESGI report as long as you can share fluency data in a different way.

1st-Grade Fluency Tracker Template
The Fluency Tracker template that we created for 1st grade had an error in the way it was color coding scores. We have updated the tracker in the templates (please see below). To get the new updated template, you would download a new template and then copy and paste student names and scores from the old template into the new one. The Kindergarten template has not changed.
We will be using ESGI to track student proficiency as a District. In ESGI, to score, you can only enter numbers or Yes/No. Therefore teachers will report data in ESGI but can continue to track Fluency levels (specific reading levels) as they have done previously.
This sheet is not required in any way, just a resource for PLCs or a teacher if they would find it helpful.
