i-Ready Window 3

Just a reminder that iReady Window 3 ends on May 26. Window 3 is required for 2nd grade and optional for Grades 3-8 because of CAASPP testing.

Please see the document below for information regarding different educational tools (such as Lexia, i-Ready, Edutpying, and more) for the 2023-24 school year. Most tools are staying the same. The one exception is Screencastify.

Students attend June 12 to July 7 - no school June 19 & July 4

Teacher hours: 7:45 to 12:15

Student hours: 8:00 to noon

Staff Chrome Device Update

Starting Monday, May 22nd, staff members will no longer have the option to sign in with Clever on Chrome devices. Instead, we have introduced Google Sign-in for staff members to simplify the sign-in process. This change also enables Chrome device users to easily lock their devices and log back in.


To ensure this update takes place, it is necessary for the Chrome device to be running ChromeOS Version 112. We have pushed out this update to all staff Chrome devices.  If you still see the Clever login, please visit the following link to confirm the version of Chrome currently installed: How to Update your Chrome device or Chrome Browser.  If you are still not seeing the change, please put in a ticket at support.rcsdk8.org

Technology Services Teacher End-of-Year Checkout - Technology As we near the end of the school year, we would like to share some guidance regarding the end-of-year checkout process for teachers' technology items. Please take a look at the below steps to ensure a smooth distribution and collection of items. The Information Systems Technician team will be distributing Ziploc bags to each site no later than June 6th based on certificated rosters. Principals and site clerical should then work internally to distribute the bags to each teacher. Ziploc Bag Distribution Each teacher will be provided one Ziploc bag for their current room. Teachers are required to place their iPad, Apple TV, charging bricks, charging cables, and remotes (both Apple TV and TV) inside the Ziploc bag. Each Ziploc bag should be clearly labeled with their respective current Room #. EDUCATIONAL SERVICES Elementary Report Card Info We will have optional Zoom training on November 1. This is the same training as the one offered on October 25, just offered on two different days.The training will be 2:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. Here is the Zoom link. Elementary Domain Scores This a reminder that you do not need to score all domains in Tri 1 and 2.  All domains should have a score in the 3rd Trimester as they are yearlong standards, and the final report card should show all Domains assessed in your class. A domain that is not scored in the 1st trimester should have a score of NA. A student that comes in the middle of a Trimester receives a Domain score on anything that they have had: Sufficient Practice (practice aligned to the learning target), Feedback (timely, specific, aligned to the learning target), Opportunity to improve learning based on feedback from the teacher.  If a student has received that for a domain, then it is appropriate to give them a summative score on a
