As a reminder, on Wednesday, November 13th messages will be shared with some of our families. Envelopes containing EBT cards are going out to all schools tomorrow and Friday.
For Elementary, please be sure to hand these out during Parent-Teacher Conferences. For Middle, please hand them out during the week of November 18th.
As these cards were sent to RCSD in error, we do need to refer any questions to the SUN Bucks helpline listed in the messages.

Educational Services
January PD Day
We have started planning our Professional Development day on January 6th. As in the past, this will be a choice day for our elementary and middle school certificated staff. In order to support our planning, we are utilizing the feedback gathered from last Spring’s Professional Development Survey. If there is something else you would like to suggest as a topic, please take a moment to fill out this form. The form will be open until November 14th. We will use the information to do our best to find presenters in a variety of topics.
Session Suggestions for January 6th, 2025
ESGI Historical Data
In order to run district and site Trimester 1 assessment data by grade level, historical data will not be available in ESGI from 11/1-11/13. On 11/14, teachers will have access to see student historical data again.

K-8 Math: Building Thinking Classrooms (BTC) Collaboration Opportunity
Building Thinking Classrooms is a book written by researcher and professor, Dr. Peter Liljedahl. In this book Liljedahl presents 14 teaching practices that are meant to enhance learning by increasing student engagement, collaboration, and discourse. If you are interested in hearing more about these teaching strategies being used by some RCSD teachers and what the start of their implementation looks like, please join us for a BTC Collaboration on Tuesday, December 3 from 3:00-4:00 in the District Office Board Room.

3-8 Math: Smarter Balanced Focused Interim Assessment Blocks and Curriculum Alignment
Focused Interim Assessment Blocks (FIABs) are short CAASPP-aligned assessments that can be used in many ways in the classroom. Each FIAB typically has 10-15 items, and can be generated as a printable PDF from the Interim Assessment Portal. The grade-level spreadsheets below have all the FIABs for that grade, as well as the links to the Interim Assessment Portal. They also show in which unit or topic the content is taught in the adopted curriculum. The information in these spreadsheets are secure materials and are intended for classroom use only.
