Message from Jamey Schrey Thank you for your work as we come to the close of the first trimester. Be sure to snap a photo of your class or classes, because this will be quite the story twenty years from now! As I shared previously, I read a book called Burnout, which discusses the difference between stress and stressors. A section resonated with me this week as the district office and site office staff have returned to full capacity. I share the section because going from working with control of my home, children, and world brought me comfort during this unprecedented time to back to my workspace at the district office has raised my anxiety.  I must set new routines that include shutting my door that has previously always been open. Now I am wearing my mask and not forgetting to move it to sip coffee and staying back from others that I would typically want to be near and lean into their conversations. With moving into more stimulation and new stressors, I have to remember to check-in

Information for Staff Document We know there are a lot of questions regarding coming back with students. Please review the document below that has responses to some of those questions. Information for Staff Document- October 22 ________________________________________________________________________ Trimester 1 Report Cards As a reminder, the District will be creating the report cards to send home this 1st Trimester.  Here is the timeline: The District will send an email on 10/22 letting parents know that the report card will be sent on 10/30.  Please click here to view the message that will be sent on 10/22 and then scroll down on this document to see the message sent on 10/30. Grades completed by 10/27 at 11:59 pm Every school site will get a shared folder where they can view PDF of the reports.  Those reports will be uploaded into the shared folder by 10am on 10/28 and the folder will be shared with your site.  Please note the final report card will include the RCSD logo and will

Message from Jamey Schrey Well, you started with your heads held high, ready to greet your new students, and try to make the best of distance learning. As you end the first trimester, you should all still have your heads held high and stand prouder for what you have done for children. You have learned, planned, laughed, cried, failed some, and succeeded many times. And you have brought your heart and souls online each day to allow children to be seen and heard from their rooms throughout Roseville. And yes, darn it! You should be tired. Just when you think you may get to exhale, things are changing again in trimester two. And where will we be in three months? Heck, trust me, I wish I knew. I long for the days of complaining about writing a state-mandated plan or attending a webinar to learn about a newly adopted state budget. While there are days that this “new” normal does seem familiar - I find that something little, a call, a song, an email,  will bring some brimming tears and cause
