Learning Management System Selection Committee
RCSD is creating a committee to explore the possibility of changing our Learning Management System and report card system. The committee will consist of educators, administrators, and community members to participate in vendor demonstrations and provide input to ensure an LMS is selected that best meets the needs of the District. The purpose of the committee is to review different learning management systems and gradebooks and, after the evaluation process, give a recommendation to the RCSD Board of Education.

The form below has more details regarding time commitment, the number of teachers on the committee, and more. Please fill out the form below by Wednesday, February 1st, if you are interested in joining.

After-School Opportunity - RCSD Employee Discount

Hello RCSD Staff,

Please review the attached flyer for more information regarding Right At School, an additional after-school program available for our students in 2023-24 at 15 of our elementary sites. If you have children who attend an RCSD elementary site and you are interested in the after-school program, Right at School will provide all RCSD employees with a 75% discount.

Please visit Right At School's website to learn about the organization and dynamic curriculum. Right at School, registration opens on January 23rd for all RCSD students. 

To receive the employee discount, reach out to Daniel, at Right at School, by calling 707-913-9613, before the final payment step during registration. You will need to use your RCSD email address when completing registration.

K-5 World Read Aloud Day

World Read Aloud Day is February 1, 2023. It is a day for sharing stories by challenging participants to grab a book, find an audience, and read aloud! The global effort is created by the non-profit LitWorld and sponsored by Scholastic. For more information, resources, and a schedule of live read-aloud, please check out the document below.

Technology Services Teacher End-of-Year Checkout - Technology As we near the end of the school year, we would like to share some guidance regarding the end-of-year checkout process for teachers' technology items. Please take a look at the below steps to ensure a smooth distribution and collection of items. The Information Systems Technician team will be distributing Ziploc bags to each site no later than June 6th based on certificated rosters. Principals and site clerical should then work internally to distribute the bags to each teacher. Ziploc Bag Distribution Each teacher will be provided one Ziploc bag for their current room. Teachers are required to place their iPad, Apple TV, charging bricks, charging cables, and remotes (both Apple TV and TV) inside the Ziploc bag. Each Ziploc bag should be clearly labeled with their respective current Room #. EDUCATIONAL SERVICES Elementary Report Card Information Report Card Prep is February 21, 2024. Report cards must be sent home by Friday, March 1st. Please work with your principal on if report cards will be emailed or printed and by when. Teachers have the ability to print their own report card in PTP. We will have an optional Zoom training on February 21 from 2:00pm-2:30pm for any elementary teacher that needs reminders on how to enter grades or comments in PowerSchool. Here is the Zoom link for the training. If grades are entered and you want to see what they look like, everything is live so you can create a PDF anytime between now and March 1st.
