District Professional Development Day

Our October 31st Professional Development day is quickly approaching. Please review the following logistical information below.

Schedule

October 31st PD Sessions and Locations
Doors will be open at 7:30am. Please arrive at your training site early to settle in, as we will begin promptly at 8:00am.

Information for the Miniziming Challenging Behaviors PD at Stoneridge and Eich
Please bring a fully charged laptop. HERE is the link to the digital workbook we will use throughout the training. You will need to make a copy of the document to access the editable version. If you prefer a printed version, you are welcome to print a copy and bring it to the training. Printed workbooks will not be provided at the training.
Additionally, if you would like to take notes on the slides, HERE is a link to the slide deck for the day. If you prefer a printed version, you are welcome to print a copy and bring it to the training.
Staff will have designated seating with their sites. Due to the training being at capacity, we cannot have student teachers, field workers, or interns attend. Thank you for understanding.

Parking Information

The linked maps below show designated parking areas on each campus and the location of the training on each campus. Once the school site's parking is full, we will use street parking. Please be considerate of our neighbors at our school sites and do not block driveways. Please carpool when possible.

Lexia Family Reports
You can print reports in Lexia to share progress with families. To access the reports, visit the Print drop down menu in the upper right hand corner of your Class Table → select “Print Student Reports” → Select all the students you wish to print a report for → Click on the blue “Print Reports” button for your students → please select “Parent Report”.

Middle School ELA Assessments in Otus

Middle School ELA End of Unit Assessments are available in Otus. At this time, Amplify has assessments for Unit A, B, and C. StudySync for 7th and 8th grade has end of unit assessments for units 1-4. Please review the Shared with Me folders in Otus. Please reach out with any questions.

Updated K-5 Benchmark Tier 1 Learning Targets- Tri. 2
All K-5 Benchmark Learning Targets documents have been updated to reflect the updated Benchmark curriculum. Units 1-5 have been completed for each grade level. We will continue to update these documents and the assessment bank throughout the year.

Attention Teachers: Considering Retirement This Year?
If you’re thinking about retiring soon, we encourage you to explore the helpful webinars offered by CALSTRS. These sessions provide valuable insights that can assist you in making your retirement decision.
Additionally, mark your calendars for an informational meeting via Zoom on November 21, 2024, at 4:00 PM. This meeting will focus on the RCSD Golden Handshake Retirement Incentive and is open to all interested teachers.
Further details and an invitation will be sent out following the School Board meeting on November 14, 2024.
To maximize your understanding, we recommend attending the CALSTRS webinars prior to our information session. This will ensure you are well-prepared to discuss your options.
