K-5 Math Pilot Update
Our K–5 math pilot team has decided to move forward with piloting two programs this year: Amplify Desmos Math beginning in January and SAVVAS enVision+ beginning in late February. Each pilot will run for approximately six weeks. More information will be shared soon, including opportunities to learn more about what each program has to offer.

TK-8 Science and Math Teachers: STEM Educator Summit
California State University, Sacramento is partnering with SMUD for their first-ever Educator Summit on Saturday, November 1 from 8:30am - 3:00pm. This event is free and open to all teachers. The purpose of the event is to share resources and best practices in STEM education. For more information, click here or check out the flyer.

Growth Monitoring in i-Ready
Growth Monitoring in i-Ready helps assess student progress between Diagnostic windows to evaluate and report on projected end-of-year (EOY) growth. To view Growth Monitoring data, you’ll need results from at least three different months of data from a combination of Diagnostic and Growth Monitoring assessments. Once this data is available, you’ll be able to see each student’s EOY projected score and their likelihood of meeting growth measures. Growth Monitoring assessments are not intended to replace the Diagnostic and do not provide domain specific scores. If you’d like to assign a Growth Monitoring assessment, please coordinate with your principal, as settings for assigning assessments in i-Ready have recently changed. Teachers will continue to have the ability to assign Standards Mastery Assessments.

Just a reminder: Trimester 1 Foundational Skills data for Math and Reading for TK, Kindergarten, and 1st Grade is due in ESGI. All assessments can be found in the resources linked below. Thank you!

• TK (TK Benchmarks Reading and Math)
• Reading: Uppercase Letter ID, Lowercase Letter ID, Letter Sound ID, Name ID
• Math: Number ID, Counting
• K (Kindergarten Foundational Skills Hub)
• Reading: Uppercase Letter ID, Lowercase Letter ID, Section 4: Isolate Initial Phonemes, Letter Sound ID, Sight Words, Fluency
• Math: Oral Counting, Number ID 0-10
• 1st (1st Grade Foundational Skills Hub)
