K-2 Amira Reading Difficulties Risk Screener
The Amira Reading Screener Window is from October 13th-October 24th.
Reminders:
- Consider classroom arrangement and ensure the microphone is enabled for the assessment
- All students will take the screener in English. Please use the decision tree to determine if the student will also take the screener in Spanish. If the student is also taking the assessment in Spanish, please follow these steps on how to Adjust Student Language in Amira.
- Here is how you view and monitor assessment completion.
- Please wait until after October 31st to share any reports or information with families.
K-1 Lexia Usage
Please make sure that all K-1 students complete their auto-placement assessments in Lexia if they haven’t already. Once students have completed the assessments, Kindergarten students should be spending 15–20 minutes per week on Lexia, and 1st Grade students should be spending 20–25 minutes per week. Teachers can monitor student progress and usage through the myLexia app in Clever.

K-8 Science Materials: Ordering Materials from the Media Center
You can now order materials for science labs from the Media Center. To see a list of what is available for ordering, please use the first tab on the sheet linked below. To place an order, please follow the steps provided at the top of the first tab called “Complete List/Order Form”.
Important reminders:
- Be sure to rename your copy of the spreadsheet with your last name and school site.
- Be specific about the quantities needed for each item.
- To submit your order, share the list (print or digital) with your Library Media Specialist.
