Amira
Please assign the Amira assessment to any new student by following these steps: How to Assign an Assessment. Please assign the full assessment for the BOY Benchmark for the Assessment Type.
Any new student has 45 days from enrollment to take the Amira screener. You can administer the assessment at any point within that 45-day window. Please send home parent notification (Site Sample Amira Letter) at least 15 days before you plan to administer the assessment. Please use the Decision Tree for Assessing Multilingual Learners to determine if the student should take the assessment in English only, or in both English and Spanish.

K-5 Math Pilot Update
Our K–5 math pilot team has decided to move forward with piloting two programs this year: Amplify Desmos Math beginning in January and SAVVAS enVision+ beginning in late February. Each pilot will run for approximately six weeks. In order to provide all of our educational partners an opportunity to explore the curriculum materials, we will be hosting two Community Review Nights at the district office. Each publisher will also host an informational webinar to provide an overview of their program.

Library Media Specialist PD 1/5
  • Morning Session | 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. All Library Media Specialists will meet in the District Warehouse Conference Room for a half-day professional development session. Please bring a district device/Chromebook, sign-in information ready for Destiny and Titlewave (Follett). We will focus on collection building, Destiny, and additional LMS tools and practices.
  • Middle School LMS Session | 12:30–2:00 p.m. Middle school LMS team members (BU, CH, CO, EI) will meet in the District Warehouse Conference Room.
