Updated Mileage
As of January 1st, 2026, the 2026 mileage reimbursement rate for business travel has changed to 72.5 cents ($0.725) per mile. This is an increase from the 70 cents per mile that it was for 2025.
The new rate has been added to the InformedK12 mileage form. Here is a link to the form:
InformedK12 - Mileage form. Please feel free to share this with employees who need to submit a form.
The "Mileage form - Calculate miles" form has also been updated. A link to this updated form can be found in the top left of the InformedK12 form. For those who use this one, you will want to make a copy of this new form.
If you have mileage from 2025, and 2026, please submit two separate Informedk12 forms; one for each year.

Progress Reports
A reminder, Elementary Progress Reports need to go home by Friday, January 23rd. Progress Report PLC prep day is January 14th.

Middle School Mid-Trimester Progress Check
Middle School Teachers: An email from the school site will go home on Friday, January 23rd to remind parents they can check grades in Otus. Here is a sample of the message that will be sent home by the school site. A reminder all students should have a grade for both Engagement and Work Completion.

3rd Grade ELA Essential Standards Assessments
Additional RCSD Form A and Form B essential standards assessments have been added to the assessment bank for Grade 3. If you notice anything that may need editing, please share!

K-5 Math Pilot Update
Our K–5 math pilot team has decided to move forward with piloting two programs this year: Amplify Desmos Math beginning in January and SAVVAS enVision+ beginning in late February. Each pilot will run for approximately six weeks. In order to provide all of our educational partners an opportunity to explore the curriculum materials, we will be hosting two Community Review Nights at the district office. Each publisher will also host an informational webinar to provide an overview of their program.

i-Ready and IXL Assessment Window
Window 2 is January 20th to February 6th. The Diagnostics will be assigned automatically beginning on January 20th.
Elementary: Please note i-Ready instruction will not be available until the Diagnostic has been completed.

  • Calm Health: access daily meditations, clinical mental wellness programs, and mindfulness for yourself, your family, and your community.
  • Supportlinc Employee Assistance Program: connect with counselors, coaches, or group support for topics such as managing stress, mindful parenting, financial stress or daily living concerns.
  • In Shape Fitness: discounted gym memberships at In Shape locations throughout the area.
  • Employees who began before October 1st, 2025 currently have access to these apps. Employees who started on or after October 1st, 2025 have access to our EAP program and the basic version of FitOn, but will have full access to FitOn Health+ and Calm Health in February.
