K-2 Amira and Benchmark Correlation
Benchmark now has a resource designed to help support Amira results. Please visit the Amira Skills Instructional Recommendations to learn more about this resource. This resource can be found in the Assessment tab in Benchmark Advance or by following these steps.

K-5 District Adopted Writing Curriculum
Currently, we have two district-adopted writing curricula in use: Lucy Calkins and Benchmark Writing. All grade levels have received an overview of the Benchmark Writing curriculum, grades 3–5 during Cycle PD last year and K–2 during Cycle PD this year.
For the remainder of this school year, PLCs may continue to use whichever writing program they collectively agree on as their writing curriculum.
Beginning in the 2026–2027 school year, the district will move forward with one consistent writing curriculum across grade levels. To support that decision-making process, we will be sending out a feedback form in March to gather your input.

You can order materials for science labs from the Media Center. To see a list of what is available for ordering, please use the first tab on the sheet linked below. To place an order, please follow the steps provided at the top of the first tab called “Complete List/Order Form”.

Following up from last week’s ELA PD, here is how to access the Spotlight Skills in the library by searching skills as well as searching standards. We are now accepting nominations for the 2026 Placer County Teacher of the Year, Classified Employee of the Year, and Counselor of the Year, and the RCSD Certificated Student Support Employee of the Year. All nominations are due by Friday, February 20, 2026 at 4:30pm.
