Middle School Mid-Trimester Progress Check
Middle School Teachers: An email from the school site will go home on Friday, April 24th to remind parents they can check grades in Otus. Here is a sample of the message that will be sent home by the school site. A reminder all students should have a grade for both Engagement and Work Completion.

We’re collecting your input on the Benchmark and Lucy Calkins writing curriculum. Your feedback will help determine which district writing curriculum will be used beginning in the 2026–27 school year. The form will remain open through May 1st. PCOE is offering free BTC training June 15-17. Participants will get a free copy of the book, a free book of math tasks for their grade level, and free additional resources to support classroom implementation. The registration link and more details can be found here.

School Garden Training
The Diggin’ In Summer Intensive is a training for teachers, volunteers, parents and other educators to dig into the topic of school gardening. This is a hands-on workshop facilitated at Soil Born Farms in a variety of outdoor learning environments.The workshop includes lessons, planting guides, games, songs, materials, plants and seeds. Topics covered will be based upon participant needs, but can include: curriculum plans, techniques of gardening with youth, soil care and composition, composting, drip irrigation basics, units of discovery for the garden, garden design and much more. Consider this a summer day camp for educators. You will leave inspired, equipped and ready to engage students in your campus’ outdoor learning spaces. Register online at soilborn.org.

We have a large supply of Second Step full size posters and 8.5x11 cardstock posters. If you would like any posters to be sent to you to use in your classroom/school, please complete this Second Step Poster google form. We will distribute these extra materials on a first come first served basis.
This form will be shut off on Friday April 10th and extra materials will be disposed of.
