CommonLit Access Update
As we transition to ClassLink, CommonLit classes will no longer sync automatically. Teachers and students will continue to have access to CommonLit’s content, but teachers must manually create their classes and provide students with a class code. Students can access the CommonLit app through ClassLink, login using their school Google email, and enter the class code.

Otus Assessment Update
Middle School Math Topics Assessments for Topics 1, 2, and 3 for grades 6-8 have been updated and are now available in the Assessments - Middle School - Math folder in Otus. Within each assessment, the standard and domain are linked so that you are able to access the data through AI Insights for the standard (CCSS.Math.Content.8.NS.A.1) while also connecting the assessment to the custom standard/domain (MA.NS) in the Standards Gradebook. End of Topic Assessments will continue to be updated for the remaining Topics throughout Trimester 1.

November PD Day
We have started planning our Professional Development Day on November 2nd. This will be a choice day for our elementary certificated staff and IAs in the morning. All sessions will be focused on aspects of behavior. In order to support our planning, we are utilizing the feedback gathered from past surveys. If there is something else you would like to suggest as a topic related to behavior, please take a moment to fill out this form. The form will be open until the end of the school day on August 27th. We will use the information to do our best to find presenters.

K-5 enVision+ Math
We will continue learning about the new math curriculum through PD Cycle days. One helpful planning resource the pilot team created is the RCSD K-5 Math SAVVAS enVision+ Pacing & Planning Guide. This includes enVision's pacing for each topic, and it highlights which lessons address RCSD essential standards. There are also links to PDFs of the topic assessments for quick printing. This resource is also available on the Key Resources Hub.
For a quick overview on how to download the student pages for each lesson as a PDF, please follow the link below. Once student workbooks are ready at your site, if you would like a teacher copy of the student edition, please ask your LMS.

If you would like to learn more about what it looks like to teach the different components and lesson types, there are short overview videos of these linked in your digital platform. Scroll past the topics down to the “Program Resources” section. Then select “Classroom/Author Videos.”
