Zoom A couple of Zoom tips. -If you are sending out an email link to Zoom to parent emails, it may ask parents to log into Zoom.  It is ok to notify parents, but we are hearing way less issues if students are accessing the link either right in Clever, or through Google Classroom.  The issue is when you email parents the link and students are not logged into Clever or Classroom, it may ask the parent to create an account. -If you have never used Zoom before and you are prompted for the admin password to install a Zoom package, please submit a SchoolDude ticket and we would be happy to assist you. -If a screen pops up asking for a password for audio, you do not need to enter a user name and password.  This is not happening to a lot of teachers but if it does happen to you just press cancel and restart your browser. Zoom If you have not done so already, please read the email Brandon sent out on 4/10 regarding Zoom A reminder you must either start a Zoom account through Clever or sync your current account.   Here  is a video showing you how to do that.  Here is a list of the security settings and guidelines for RCSD.  This was in the email but we wanted to put in a doc as well. All resources from the email have been added to the RCSD Continuous Learning site under the Video Conferencing page. Here is a video showing how to use the Whiteboard feature in Zoom (can be done on an iPad or Computer, although an iPad is probably much easier). Message from Jamey Schrey If you follow Brene´Brown, you will often hear her say, “The most vulnerable people I know are the toughest people I know.” Well, I am writing this message lifting a glass to you, the adults in Roseville City School District, that are working your tails off while being so vulnerable in the work that you have taken on at this time. You are courageous, you are tough, and each of you has spent time connecting with the students that need us. And while vulnerable, and learning and growing day by day, hour by hour, it is not going unnoticed. This last week I was lucky enough to speak with hundreds of parents and guardians while assisting other staff in deploying Chromebooks and materials. Honestly, every person that came in was beyond grateful for the efforts of our district employees in supporting both children and the families during this extraordinary time in our history.
