EDUCATIONAL SERVICES Middle School ELA Curriculum Update At the May 9th Board meeting, the board approved the recommendation of adopting Amplify for 6th Grade and StudySync for 7th/8th. We are looking forward to learning and implementing two new curricula next year. We will also be hosting two Community Review Nights for any families or community members that may be interested in reviewing the updated Benchmark curriculum. Those nights will be May 20th and May 22nd from 6-7 pm at the District Office. EDUCATIONAL SERVICES Middle School Report Card Optional Office Hours A reminder to please run a preview of your report cards on May 15th. Middle School Report Card Update, May 2024 Optional Office Hours to answer questions are on Zoom from 1:30pm-2:30pm. Here is the Zoom link. Report card previews will not show in your browser if you use the Adobe Extension. You can either remove the extension or just toggle it off by going to Manage Extensions, then Toggle Off. If you have any questions or issues please submit a Zendesk ticket. TECHNOLOGY SERVICES Temporary Technology Helpdesk Closure As part of our ongoing commitment to providing seamless support and assistance, we wanted to share an upcoming change in our service availability. Beginning Tuesday, May 14th, the Technology Helpdesk will be temporarily unavailable. This is due to the deployment of our Information Systems Technician team to Middle Schools to assist with Chromebook collection. The deployment dates for our team are below:

EDUCATIONAL SERVICES TK-8 Science: Monterey Bay Aquarium Summer Workshops The Monterey Bay Aquarium offers free summer workshops for TK-12 educators. The one-day workshops below both offer multiple options for dates, a $100 stipend for completion of the workshop, a complimentary catered lunch, and free entrance to the aquarium after the workshop. Celebrating Educators Through Storytelling and Place-Based Learning Celebrating Educators Through Maker-Centered Learning Applications for these workshops can be entered by using the links above.
