TK-8 Science: Monterey Bay Aquarium Summer Workshops
The Monterey Bay Aquarium offers free summer workshops for TK-12 educators. The one-day workshops below both offer multiple options for dates, a $100 stipend for completion of the workshop, a complimentary catered lunch, and free entrance to the aquarium after the workshop.

K-5 Science Materials
If you need materials for a science lab, you can order materials from the list below from the warehouse through your site’s Library Media Specialist. We are working to update the list regularly with the changing availability of items. When orders are submitted, we will work to get the materials delivered to sites as quickly as possible, but please allow a two-week turnaround for this.

Otus Rubric Keyboard Shortcuts

Teachers can now use keyboard shortcuts for grading Rubrics in Otus! This is in addition to the recently added keyboard shortcuts for Plus Grading assessments.
A few updates about the new Rubric Grading assessment page:
  • After clicking into the first cell, teachers can select 1-8 on the keyboard to select the specific grading scale label for the student
  • Teachers will click Enter to select the score and move to the next student
  • Teachers will click tab to move to the next descriptor on the page if there is more than one descriptor.
  • Teachers can type "I" to select IE- Insufficient Evidence.
  • If you select a score and want to remove it, click on that score again and the score will be removed.

Technology Services Teacher End-of-Year Checkout - Technology As we near the end of the school year, we would like to share some guidance regarding the end-of-year checkout process for teachers' technology items. Please take a look at the below steps to ensure a smooth distribution and collection of items. The Information Systems Technician team will be distributing Ziploc bags to each site no later than June 6th based on certificated rosters. Principals and site clerical should then work internally to distribute the bags to each teacher. Ziploc Bag Distribution Each teacher will be provided one Ziploc bag for their current room. Teachers are required to place their iPad, Apple TV, charging bricks, charging cables, and remotes (both Apple TV and TV) inside the Ziploc bag. Each Ziploc bag should be clearly labeled with their respective current Room #. EDUCATIONAL SERVICES Elementary Report Card Information Report Card Prep is February 21, 2024. Report cards must be sent home by Friday, March 1st. Please work with your principal on if report cards will be emailed or printed and by when. Teachers have the ability to print their own report card in PTP. We will have an optional Zoom training on February 21 from 2:00pm-2:30pm for any elementary teacher that needs reminders on how to enter grades or comments in PowerSchool. Here is the Zoom link for the training. If grades are entered and you want to see what they look like, everything is live so you can create a PDF anytime between now and March 1st.
