Grading Reminder
A reminder that the blog from 2/3/22 has additional details regarding Trimester 2 Report Cards.  Please put 2/18/22 (or earlier in trimester 2) as the date for the rubrics or comments.

Attendance will not show on any report cards until the morning of 2/23 since we have to run that report after the Trimester is over and upload it into Otus. A reminder your school site will give you specific dates on when you will receive a preview and a final PDF.

Middle School Grading at the end of the Trimester for Wheel Classes

Trimester 1 there was an overlap between Trimester 1 and Trimester 2 Wheel Classes. We will no longer have this overlap due to both teacher and clerical feedback, as well as the issues this causes on the backend of PowerSchool and Otus.


If you have a wheel class, the class will no longer show starting on Saturday, February 19. You can either get grades done for that class before that date, or there is a process to unarchive the class in order to enter grades. It is helpful if you rename your classes with the year (example putting 21/22 at the end of the class) before they are removed on February 19. Below is a video showing how to both rename and unarchive. Unarchived classes stay until you archive them again.

If you have a student that is no longer in your class and you need to enter a previous grade you can add them back. Students will only be there for that day you add them back and then are dropped again when the sync happens at night.

K/1 Foundational Skills
Please enter your data for Trimester 2 foundational skills in Otus by February 18, 2022. Please refer to the Trimester 2 section in the guide linked below for specific how-to’s and resources. Please note that some rubrics have more than one rubric descriptor, please make sure you are entering in T, B or L for each rubric descriptor, unless the rubric descriptor is labeled as optional. Please watch this Phonics example for a more detailed explanation.

Technology Services Teacher End-of-Year Checkout - Technology As we near the end of the school year, we would like to share some guidance regarding the end-of-year checkout process for teachers' technology items. Please take a look at the below steps to ensure a smooth distribution and collection of items. The Information Systems Technician team will be distributing Ziploc bags to each site no later than June 6th based on certificated rosters. Principals and site clerical should then work internally to distribute the bags to each teacher. Ziploc Bag Distribution Each teacher will be provided one Ziploc bag for their current room. Teachers are required to place their iPad, Apple TV, charging bricks, charging cables, and remotes (both Apple TV and TV) inside the Ziploc bag. Each Ziploc bag should be clearly labeled with their respective current Room #. EDUCATIONAL SERVICES Elementary Report Card Information Report Card Prep is February 21, 2024. Report cards must be sent home by Friday, March 1st. Please work with your principal on if report cards will be emailed or printed and by when. Teachers have the ability to print their own report card in PTP. We will have an optional Zoom training on February 21 from 2:00pm-2:30pm for any elementary teacher that needs reminders on how to enter grades or comments in PowerSchool.
