End of Year Report Card Information

Here are a few important notes for Trimester 3:

All Domains must have a score, no matter when they are taught in the year. The 3rd Trimester shows where a student ended the year in their understanding of standards within that domain.
Attendance records are for the entire year and will be through May 20. This will be noted on the report card. Attendance on the report card will be available after 12 pm on May 23 as we have to upload these records.
Optional Zoom will be held on May 16 from 3 pm -3:30 pm for anyone that needs help with their report cards. Here is the Zoom link.
Report Prep is May 23.

Your site admin will give you the date for your preview. Report cards are due by midnight on May 24 and will go home by email on May 26.

When assigning the elementary grading rubrics and comments please put the date of 5/26/22. Teachers must use the Report Card rubrics to assign final grades. You can find the report card rubrics in your Assessment Shared With Me folder under Tri 3 Elementary Report Card.

All 3 Trimester comments will show on the report card. Please see the example below (Blacked out part is just the teacher or student name). Trimester 3 is the last comment. This change was made due to feedback from teachers and the AFG Committee members. If you do not score all 3 Trimesters on the Rubric and have a score from a previous Trimester, it will pull the last score you gave that student.

Placer County Fair Student Opportunity
The Placer County Fair is returning at the beginning of summer between June 23-26 @the Grounds.

The Still-Exhibits at the fair are a great way for RCSD kids to showcase their talents and compete for prizes with the opportunity to be named the Best of Show in each of the following individual categories: Agriculture, Fine Arts & Crafts, Clothing & Textiles, Floriculture, Baked Foods, Preserved Foods, Photography, School Projects, Technology, and Special Education.

Students can enter their creations online through the ShoWorks portal. The entry is free for youth, and the due date to submit the creation is May 31, 2022. For more information, please see the fairground website.

Ed Tech Update

Chromebook Turn In
Middle Schools will begin collecting student Chromebooks, Chromebook power supplies, hotspots, and hotspot power supplies, beginning the week of May 16. To ensure a successful check-in process, Chromebooks will be checked in based on grade level, and technology supports will be onsite to immediately inspect the device for damage.

To expedite the return process, please request students' Chromebooks are fully charged and turned on at the time of check-in.

Chromebooks and hotspots not returned within the timeframe provided will be disabled to prevent further use.

Secure Access with 2-Step Verification
One of RCSD’s top priorities is to protect the data of our staff members, students, parents/guardians, and our vendors and community partners. To further secure our organization and our collective data, Technology Services has built a strategy to implement 2-Step Verification, also known as two-factor authentication (2FA) or multi-factor authentication (MFA).

In compliance with the District’s cyber and ransomware insurance coverage, all RCSD employees will be required to enable 2-Step verification on or before May 27, 2022.
