K-5 Science: Discovery Education Resources
Within Discovery Education there are many resources available. Besides the Science Techbook and Mystery Science curriculum packs, there are videos, games, and activities available through Discovery Education Explore that can support all content areas. Here are a couple that are highly recommended by users:
Vooks: hundreds of video read-alouds covering a variety of topics




Virtual Field Trips: take students beyond the walls of the classroom without having to go anywhere



To find these resources you can just type them into the search bar on the Discovery Education dashboard/landing page. They can be shared with students whole class or assigned to them to access independently.

2-8 i-Ready Diagnostic Scaled Score Placement Tables
This resource gives the scaled scores for each placement level by grade and subject area. There are placement tables for overall scores in math and reading, as well as each domain within math and reading.

Technology Services Teacher End-of-Year Checkout - Technology As we near the end of the school year, we would like to share some guidance regarding the end-of-year checkout process for teachers' technology items. Please take a look at the below steps to ensure a smooth distribution and collection of items. The Information Systems Technician team will be distributing Ziploc bags to each site no later than June 6th based on certificated rosters. Principals and site clerical should then work internally to distribute the bags to each teacher. Ziploc Bag Distribution Each teacher will be provided one Ziploc bag for their current room. Teachers are required to place their iPad, Apple TV, charging bricks, charging cables, and remotes (both Apple TV and TV) inside the Ziploc bag. Each Ziploc bag should be clearly labeled with their respective current Room #. EDUCATIONAL SERVICES Elementary Report Card Information Report Card Prep is February 21, 2024. Report cards must be sent home by Friday, March 1st. Please work with your principal on if report cards will be emailed or printed and by when. Teachers have the ability to print their own report card in PTP. We will have an optional Zoom training on February 21 from 2:00pm-2:30pm for any elementary teacher that needs reminders on how to enter grades or comments in PowerSchool. Here is the Zoom link for the training. If grades are entered and you want to see what they look like, everything is live so you can create a PDF anytime between now and March 1st.
