New Board Goals

I hope you are all doing well and enjoying this beautiful weather.

I wanted to share our new Board of Education Goals with you for the 2021-2024 school years. The Board of Education represents the staff and community stakeholders. They develop and articulate the vision and the policies of what our schools are doing to support our district vision. The Board Goals communicate to the public what the school system is trying to do to prepare our students to transition to challenging high school work and support their college and career pathways.

Roseville City School District Board Of Education Goals 2021 - 2024

* Every student will meet or exceed grade-level standards in mathematics and English Language Arts as evidenced by multiple measures.

* RCSD will create safe and positive learning environments where students, families, staff, and community feel connected, respected, and included.

* RCSD will engage all stakeholders as equal partners by providing a welcoming learning community for all students, staff, and families.

* RCSD will plan for growth while maintaining quality facilities, attract and retain excellent staff, and continue fiscal stability.

* RCSD will align technology supports and resources to meet district goals and enhance student learning.

The Board Goals are then supported by the district’s actions that establish the conditions necessary for educators to successfully work in schools and align the resources to support the goals. The Board Goals are then aligned with our Local Control Accountability Plan that explains the district’s overall vision for students, annual goals, and specific actions the district will take to achieve the vision and goals.

Each school then develops a School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA), aligned with the Board Goals, and establishes local goals, with resources and metrics to evaluate the set actions.

I hope you take a moment to review the documents as the information will guide our system for the upcoming school years. I hope that every community member takes time to educate themselves on our Goals and actions as they should be alive and transparent in our daily work.

Thanks,

Jamey

Board of Education Goals and Actions can be found under the Board Goal in a pdf on this RCSD Website page.
