Assessments in Otus
You will find district build assessments in your “Shared With Me” folder within Otus. Coordinators are continuing to build assessments in Otus based on the RCSD suggested pacing guides. These assessments can be assigned straight from your “Shared With Me” folder.

If you do not have the correct grade level shared with you please reach out to Megan Spears to gain the correct access.

Middle School Math Essential Standards Common Assessments
This video is an introduction to the Middle School Common Assessment Team resources. The newest addition to these documents is the common assessments built by the Common Assessment Team. Please take nine minutes to watch the video, preferably with your PLC, on the new RCSD middle school common assessment resources.

K-5 Writing Rubrics
Writing Rubrics can be found in the K-5 ELA and Writing Resources folder. These resources can also be found on the Learning Site. The rubrics are the same rubrics that can be found in your shared folders in Otus. Each rubric comes from Lucy Calkins and has been condensed to a T, B, L grading scale. These rubrics are available to be used as a formative grade with pre-on-demand writing as well as a summative grade with the post-on-demand writing.

All foundational skills assessment scores will be reported in Otus. Please review the document below on how to enter scores in the Otus rubrics. Please enter your scores in Otus by September 10.

Connect (or Reconnect) Your Google Account in Otus
If you are new to the District and have never connected your Google account in Otus, or if you do not see access to your Google Drive in Otus, please make sure you are logging in with Google and giving Otus permission to access Drive. Below is an article and video showing you how to do that.

Classwize Pause Internet and iReady Testing
We wanted to let you know that if you use Pause Internet in Classwize and a student is taking an iReady Assessment, it can log them out of iReady. The Pause Internet function temporarily disables the internet for the student and this can cause them to log out.

Want to get started using Classwize or already using it and want to learn more? Come on Monday to learn how Classwize can push out specific websites, focus students on one website, pause the internet, send students messages, and monitor student internet use.
