April 11th District PD Day
Please see the email Brandon Blom sent on 3/23/23 with details for the April 11th District PD Day.

Elementary: Below is where you will be from 8am-11am on that day. You will be back at your site in the afternoon. Please bring your computer for the morning session. The morning learning will focus on Second Step integration and math collaboration around small group instruction.

Middle School:
Your PD day will be at your site beginning at 8am. You will start the day with an ELD refresher training that will include a reflection and review of each of the strategies that were presented in the fall. The goal of the day is to continue the work that was started in the fall, as well as hear from teachers at your site that are effectively utilizing ELD strategies.


Educational Support Services Staff- Please see the link below with more details for you on that day.

Progress Report Early Reminder
A reminder Progress Report PLC prep is on 4/19/23 and Progress Reports go home Friday, April 21, 2023. We will be updating the Tri 3 Elementary Detailed Progress Reports on the document below by

April 11th. We will put another reminder and more details in the next Educator Blog.

Applications Access and Sign in with Google

To ensure we comply with state and federal laws regarding student data privacy

Technology Services will limit the ability to Sign-in using Google to only District approved applications and services. Staff or students currently connecting to an application or service using Sign in with Google using your RCSD account will no longer be able to as of April 17th.

When staff or students Sign in with Google, they agree to share their first name, last name, student number/staff number, email, location, and possibly other information outlined in the terms of service of the application or service. Without a data privacy agreement (SDPA), the District cannot protect the safety and privacy of the information shared. If the tool is compromised, the District will not receive a notification to take action to ensure accounts are secure.


Please feel free to reference the following sheet to view our current Application Access list:

  • Currently Approved Applications

  • Applications Pending Approval (based on high usage)

  • Not Approved/Pending Site Requests



If you see an application or service you currently use, please ask your site administrator to complete the App Approval form, and we can work with the vendor to sign the SDPA. On April 17th, if staff and students are accessing an application or service, not on the Currently Approved Application list, they will no longer be able to Sign in with Google using their RCSD account.

Technology Services Teacher End-of-Year Checkout - Technology As we near the end of the school year, we would like to share some guidance regarding the end-of-year checkout process for teachers' technology items. Please take a look at the below steps to ensure a smooth distribution and collection of items. The Information Systems Technician team will be distributing Ziploc bags to each site no later than June 6th based on certificated rosters. Principals and site clerical should then work internally to distribute the bags to each teacher. Ziploc Bag Distribution Each teacher will be provided one Ziploc bag for their current room. Teachers are required to place their iPad, Apple TV, charging bricks, charging cables, and remotes (both Apple TV and TV) inside the Ziploc bag. Each Ziploc bag should be clearly labeled with their respective current Room #. EDUCATIONAL SERVICES Elementary Report Card Information Report Card Prep is February 21, 2024. Report cards must be sent home by Friday, March 1st. Please work with your principal on if report cards will be emailed or printed and by when. Teachers have the ability to print their own report card in PTP. We will have an optional Zoom training on February 21 from 2:00pm-2:30pm for any elementary teacher that needs reminders on how to enter grades or comments in PowerSchool. Here is the Zoom link for the training. If grades are entered and you want to see what they look like, everything is live so you can create a PDF anytime between now and March 1st.
