General Update

  • Staff Absences
    Please note that staff will no longer be required to fill out the Symptom Screener form for illness absences. If an employee tests positive for COVID-19 they will need to complete COVID-19 Results Reporting (Staff) form.

  • iReady Window 3
    iReady Window 3 will be from March 28 through May 6. This window is required for students in Grades K-2, but optional for students in Grades 3-8 due to CAASPP testing.

  • Introduction to CAASPP
    If you are interested in learning more about CAASPP testing or are in need of a CAASPP refresher, please join me for an informational session on Monday, April 4th from 3:15-4:00pm. We will be discussing the basics of CAASPP including how to log into TOMS, how to start a testing session, common acronyms, and much more! Zoom Link

  • Elementary-March 21 Professional Development Question Form
    Below is the link to the March 21, 2022, Elementary Professional Development Question Form. Please do not fill this out until after the PD on Monday. We wanted to link it here just so staff knows where they can find it. This form is optional and not required to be filled out.
  • Google Chat Migration
    In the upcoming weeks, Google will be transitioning all customers from its classic Hangouts service to its new enterprise-grade collaboration product, Google Chat, making Google Chat the default chat application.
    • Why is Google moving to Chat?
      Along with 1:1 and group chats, Chat supports virtual spaces to help teams collaborate on projects in one place. Teams can share files from Drive, join online meetings with Meet, and pull other tools or workflows into the conversation.

  • Updated Site Assignments - Information Systems Technicians
    Please join Technology Services in welcoming two new members of the Information Systems Technician team, Ritesh Gyawali, and Jared Hoffman.
    • Ritesh joined the team in February from the Bay Area where he worked as an IT Support Technician and holds several certifications in IT Support and Information Security. 
    • Jared joined the team Monday, is actively pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, and will be out at sites shadowing our Information Systems Technician team in the upcoming weeks while learning the role.

Technology Services Teacher End-of-Year Checkout - Technology As we near the end of the school year, we would like to share some guidance regarding the end-of-year checkout process for teachers' technology items. Please take a look at the below steps to ensure a smooth distribution and collection of items. The Information Systems Technician team will be distributing Ziploc bags to each site no later than June 6th based on certificated rosters. Principals and site clerical should then work internally to distribute the bags to each teacher. Ziploc Bag Distribution Each teacher will be provided one Ziploc bag for their current room. Teachers are required to place their iPad, Apple TV, charging bricks, charging cables, and remotes (both Apple TV and TV) inside the Ziploc bag. Each Ziploc bag should be clearly labeled with their respective current Room #. EDUCATIONAL SERVICES Elementary Report Card Information Report Card Prep is February 21, 2024. Report cards must be sent home by Friday, March 1st. Please work with your principal on if report cards will be emailed or printed and by when. Teachers have the ability to print their own report card in PTP. We will have an optional Zoom training on February 21 from 2:00pm-2:30pm for any elementary teacher that needs reminders on how to enter grades or comments in PowerSchool. Here is the Zoom link for the training. If grades are entered and you want to see what they look like, everything is live so you can create a PDF anytime between now and March 1st.
