EDUCATIONAL SERVICES Otus Level Colors for Middle School One of the pieces of feedback we have received was that in Otus the colors were the same for academic levels 3-6. Moving forward, these will be the colors: Anything purple is proficient or above. The deeper the color purple, the higher the level. There are only 10 color options in Otus to use. We heard feedback from some teachers that they would like different shades of yellow or red for anything below, however that is not an option. While the colors might not be perfect, it is an upgrade in the fact that all levels have their own color and you can more clearly see the difference in scores. Here are the colors for the Learning Behaviors: Contact: Brandon Blom PERSONNEL SERVICES Masters Degree Opportunity - William Jessup University Are you considering a Masters Degree or obtaining your teaching credential or PASC? We will do our best to stock consumable materials listed here for each grade level. You can request items from other grade levels. You can also request items that are not on this list, and we will do our best to accommodate your requests with the materials available in the warehouse. If you are interested in placing an order for materials, please communicate with your site’s LMS.  When orders are submitted, we will work to get the materials delivered to sites as quickly as possible, but please allow a two-week turnaround for this. COMMUNICATIONS Board Workshop on 10-Year Enrollment and Facilities Plans It is crucial our staff are updated and informed regarding the Board of Education workshop scheduled for this evening focusing on our 10-Year Enrollment and Facilities Plans. The workshop is intended for discussion and information sharing only; no formal decisions will be made. We're at a new stage in RCSD’s journey to address new growth in some areas of the district while considering declining enrollment in others. This workshop, taking place this evening, is an opportunity for staff and the Board to come together, share insights, and learn about options for our path ahead. It is open to the public and will also be livestreamed. When: Thursday, November 2, 2023 Time: 6 p.m. Location: RCSD Board Room, 1050 Main Street You can access the presentation for this workshop here . EDUCATIONAL SERVICES Elementary Report Card Info We will have optional Zoom training on November 1. This is the same training as the one offered on October 25, just offered on two different days. The training will be 2:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. Here is the Zoom link. Elementary Domain Scores This a reminder that you do not need to score all domains in Tri 1 and 2.  All domains should have a score in the 3rd Trimester as they are yearlong standards, and the final report card should show all Domains assessed in your class. A domain that is not scored in the 1st trimester should have a score of NA. A student that comes in the middle of a Trimester receives a Domain score on anything that they have had: Sufficient Practice (practice aligned to the learning target), Feedback (timely, specific, aligned to the learning target), Opportunity to improve learning based on feedback from the teacher.  If a student has received that for a domain, then it is appropriate to give them a summative score on a
