April 11th District PD Day Please see the email Brandon Blom sent on 3/23/23 with details for the April 11th District PD Day. Elementary : Below is where you will be from 8am-11am on that day. You will be back at your site in the afternoon. Please bring your computer for the morning session. The morning learning will focus on Second Step integration and math collaboration around small group instruction. TK-Brown (Staff room) K-Thomas Jefferson (Multi) 1-Kaseberg (Multi) 2-Brown (Multi) 3-Blue Oaks (Multi) 4-Diamond Creek (Multi) 5-Gates (Multi) Middle School: Your PD day will be at your site beginning at 8am. You will start the day with an ELD refresher training that will include a reflection and review of each of the strategies that were presented in the fall. The goal of the day is to continue the work that was started in the fall, as well as hear from teachers at your site that are effectively utilizing ELD strategies. Chat GPT Update Chat GPT is no longer blocked for RCSD Educatorson District Wifi. It is still blocked for students on district devices. A reminder for staff to never put any student information on platforms like this or any platform that we do not have a student data privacy agreement with. We look forward to continuing to learn how to use this tool as educators. Teachers have requested this feature because sometimes the assignment/assessment does not require any kind of upload to Otus. To Do List - Do Not Display “Excluded”/“Excused” In the Home module’s “To Do List,” Otus will no longer display assessments that have submission statuses of “Excluded” and “Excused” in the “Assessments” section for both teachers and students. Trimester 2 Elementary Parent Conference While it is not on this year's calendar, March 8th can be used for elementary parent conferences instead of PLC. However, if your grade level is without conferences, you are welcome to hold your PLC.
