K-5 Science Materials
The spreadsheet below shows both consumable and non-consumable materials needed for all Discovery Education labs and Mystery Science labs by grade level. It also shows the availability of these materials in our warehouse. Fortunately, most of the materials needed for Mystery Science labs are in stock in the warehouse.
Science Materials List By Grade Level for Discovery Education and Mystery Science
If you need materials for a science lab you are planning, you can order materials from the warehouse through your site’s Library Media Specialist. If you order any non-consumable materials, you can keep them on site for future use when you are finished with the activity. Also, if you see items on the list that you have a need for to support your students in other areas besides science, feel free to request them in an order. When orders are submitted, we will work to get the materials delivered to sites as quickly as possible, but please allow a two-week turnaround for this.

If you are interested in hosting a student teacher for the upcoming school year and meet the above requirements, please complete this form. Deadline to apply is March 30, 2024. TECHNOLOGY SERVICES

Bi-Annual Phishing Simulator Recap
On Tuesday, March 12th, Technology Services conducted our bi-annual phishing simulator to ensure compliance with School Insurance Group (SIG) Security Standards and maintain our Cyber Insurance coverage.
The phishing simulator serves as a proactive measure, allowing us to assess our readiness to identify potential phishing attempts. By simulating real-world scenarios, we aim to strengthen our defenses against evolving cyber threats.
Please remember these key steps if you encounter any suspicious emails:
  • Don't Click: If an email appears suspicious, refrain from clicking on any links, opening attachments, or sharing personal information.
  • Verify Sender Authenticity: Verify that the email address matches the sender. If in doubt, contact the sender directly through a known and trusted means to confirm the message's legitimacy.
  • Pause Before Acting: Resist the urge to forward or reply. Contact the Technology Helpdesk at 916-771-1645 or submit a support ticket via Zendesk with the details of the email.
Additionally, we encourage everyone to use Gmail's reporting feature to promptly flag suspicious emails as phishing or spam.
Ongoing training is vital to protect against cyber threats and ransomware.
